Community Centers – The LEAD Project
The Black Community Services Center, El Centro Chicano and the Asian American Activities Center have collectively offered The LEAD Project: Leading through Education, Activism and Diversity for the past several years. Selected students participate in a two-quarter program in which they explore non-hierarchical leadership methods and complete a social change project of their choosing and design. The program begins with a retreat that explores the Social Change Model of leadership development with a particular emphasis on collaborative work and its applicability to issues of common concern among students of color.

Graduate School of Business
The GSB’s Center for Leadership Development and Research
http://www.gsb.stanford.edu/cldr/ has been established and is continuing to develop its program and resources. The Center provides a forum for the entire Business School community to share their collective experiences, innovate, and learn by combining rigorous scholarship with experiential learning and topical dialogue.

Additionally, the GSB offers the Stanford Educational Leadership Institute (SELI) and has launched the Center for Educational Leadership (CEL). These are joint ventures between Stanford’s School of Education and Graduate School of Business. Both foster the development of school and community leaders who have a deep appreciation of instruction and learning, organizational design and management, and the leadership of change processes.
