Haas Center for Public Service
Welcome to the Haas Center, the hub of Cardinal Service.
The Haas Center for Public Service inspires Stanford University to realize a just and sustainable world through service, scholarship, and community partnerships. As the hub of Cardinal Service, we help students make service a meaningful part of their Stanford education.
Celebrating 40 years of impact
Since 1985, the Haas Center has been Stanford's home for turning service into meaningful change. We've connected thousands of students, faculty, and community partners to address pressing challenges, from educational equity and environmental justice to global health and civic engagement. In this milestone year, we've launched 40 for 40, a $40M fundraising effort to expand access to service opportunities and prepare the next generation to build a more just and sustainable world. Join us by investing in the next chapter of this vital work.
