Our team is a diverse group of enthusiastic and dedicated program, advising, and support staff from a wide range of disciplines, all with a singular commitment to multiple public service pathways and our Principles of Ethical and Effective Service.

The Haas Center currently has openings for three exciting early-career roles. Each 20-month position is ideal for launching a career in public service or higher education:

  • Cardinal Service Communications Associate
    The Cardinal Service Communications Associate will work with the Communications teams to strategically advance our digital media efforts and storytelling through exceptional writing and editing, including for the Cardinal Service blog; taking the lead on our Instagram strategy and posting; and connecting members of the Stanford community with campus-wide service opportunities through compelling digital content. They will also support other essential Cardinal Service promotions to students and other key stakeholders, including donors.   • Cardinal Careers Program Associate
    The Cardinal Careers Program Associate will work with the Cardinal Careers team to support undergraduate and graduate students in integrating service into any career and pursuing work in the public interest. The Cardinal Careers Associate is primarily responsible for supporting core administrative functions of the Cardinal Careers programs. They lead critical outreach and promotion efforts and advise students.  Responsibilities include curation of the Careers newsletter, events support and management, administration of awards and fellowships, tracking and reporting key program metrics and data, and managing the various online platforms used by the team. 

  • Cardinal Commitment Program Associate
    The Cardinal Commitment Program Associate will work with the Cardinal Commitment team to engage Stanford students in making and sustaining long-term service commitments to a service program or organization. The Cardinal Commitment Associate is primarily responsible for supporting core administrative functions of the Cardinal Commitment programs. They lead critical outreach and promotion efforts and advise students. Responsibilities include curation of the Commitment newsletter, events support and management, tracking and reporting key program metrics and data, and managing the various software tools used by the team.
