Are you concerned about polarization in our politics? Do you wish there were more opportunities for civil dialogue and debate over the important issues facing the country – from climate change, to the minimum wage, to economic opportunity?

On May 1-2, Stanford University and the Berggruen Institute will host a nationwide deliberative polling event, “Shaping Our Future,” with more than 1,500 young people like you, drawn from more than 35 colleges and universities across the country. We want you to be a part of it.

Shaping Our Future
Saturday & Sunday, May 1-2, 2021
3:00-5:30 pm (Pacific) / 6:00-8:30 pm (Eastern)

Complete this form by April 23

The event is designed to capture what a diverse group of young people would think about important public policy issues after having an opportunity to listen to and learn from others. The event will use a structured deliberation model called Deliberative Polling

The proposals we discuss at “Shaping Our Future” will be carefully balanced and vetted by experts from across the political spectrum. Results from the event will provide a unique window into the views of young people on a range of issues facing the United States. Participants in past Deliberative Polls have enjoyed the opportunity to discuss important policy issues with others whom they wouldn’t normally have an opportunity to meet.

To join us, please complete this form by April 23. We will confirm participation and share next steps the week of April 26.

We hope you will join us for this important event. If you have any questions, you can reach us at
