Annabel Wong joined the Haas Center in September 2017 as the Assessment & Evaluation Associate. She supports evaluation efforts at the Haas Center and within the Student Affairs division more generally.
Hailing originally from Canada, Annabel completed a joint degree at Stanford, graduating with a Master of Public Policy and Master of Arts in Education. While she was a student, Annabel also worked at the Haas Center as a Student Affairs Fellow and Student Evaluation Assistant. She helped analyze data and contributed to program reports, and became particularly involved with the Pathways for Public Service and Civic Engagement Diagnostic Tool. Annabel co-presented Pathways data insights at three national conferences on behalf of the Haas Center.
Prior to Stanford, Annabel worked in Toronto as a Program Officer for the Loran Scholars Foundation, where she was responsible for the selection process and the mentorship program. She later joined Plan Canada as a Youth Engagement Specialist and managed the Top 20 Under 20 program. Annabel has a strong interest in enabling youth civic engagement and shaping organizations that are civically driven.
Conversant in French and Cantonese, Annabel received her undergraduate degree from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC with a double major in International Relations and Political Science. When she’s not busy crunching through data, Annabel enjoys spending time planning Bay Area adventures with her husband and watching The Great British Bake Off with their cat.
