Annual Fund and Donor Relations Director

Emily Clements

Emily joined the external relations team at the Haas Center in 2022. As director of the annual fund and donor relations, Emily oversees development efforts including the Directors' Circle and annual fund, in addition to working closely with supporters. Before joining the Haas Center, Emily worked in Class Giving, helping to manage the 30th, 25th, and 10th reunions. Prior to Stanford, Emily spent 14 years working in the art world at leading commercial galleries including Pace Gallery (New York) and Fraenkel Gallery (San Francisco). In her time as a sales director and manager, Emily worked closely with art collectors locally and internationally as well as leading artists, estates, and museums.

Emily earned a bachelor's degree from Providence College and a master’s in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London. She served as a fundraising volunteer for the Headland’s Center for the Arts and SFCamerawork and as the SF city council chair of Artadia, the Fund for Art and Dialogue. She enjoys supporting emerging artists and local art communities in the Bay Area.

Emily is passionate about inclusive and equitable access to education and gender equity issues. She serves on the advisory board for Oasis for Girls, a non-profit in San Francisco supporting young women of color. Emily lives in Alameda with her family.
