Kristy Lobo
Kristy directs the Haas Center's leadership development activities including the Public Service Leadership Program and Issue Area Coordinators Program. She also leads curricular initiatives that span Haas and beyond. In the courses she teaches and in the learning she supports, Kristy aims to develop students' understanding of ethical and effective service principles and their skills related to public service pathways. Previously, she directed the Haas Center's advising and outreach team and managed community partner engagement.
Prior to joining the Haas Center staff, Kristy served as Director of Training and then as Acting Executive Director at Public Allies Chicago, a leadership development organization that prepares talented and diverse young adults for careers in public service. She attributes many of her life’s greatest lessons to service experiences, such as promoting leadership programs as a Red Cross volunteer, organizing interfaith programs and teaching high school students as an AmeriCorps member, and developing a school district community engagement strategy as an Education Pioneers Fellow.
Kristy holds a BA/BS in Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and an MA in Policy, Organization, and Leadership Studies from the Stanford Graduate School of Education.
