
Nancy Ojeda Mata
Nancy is passionate about public service, increasing diversity in higher education, and social justice. In her previous role at People’s Theatre Project, she liaised with families and staff to manage year-round educational programming promoting cultural diversity and civic engagement. As an undergraduate, graduate student, and grassroots organizer, she eliminated barriers for communities systemically excluded from higher education by organizing college visits, planning youth conferences, advocating for humane immigration policies, and hosting workshops for underrepresented students.
Nancy is originally from Michoacán, Mexico and grew up in California’s Central Valley. She holds a BA in German Studies from Stanford University and an MA in International Educational Development from Teachers College, Columbia University. In her free time, she enjoys reading, soccer, tennis, dancing, traveling, and learning to play ukulele.
