Trevor leads Education Partnerships, comprising Preschool Counts, Ravenswood Reads, Science in Service, East Palo Alto Stanford Academy, and the High School Support Initiative—programs for mentoring and tutoring local youth. He graduated from Stanford with a B.A in Urban Studies-Community Organization, and was a Team Captain for the Stanford Football Team. After finishing his professional football career with the Buffalo Bills in 2007, Trevor became a founding team member with Year Up Bay Area, a nationally recognized job readiness and secondary education program for talented but disconnected young adults looking to launch careers in technology. He led many efforts with Year Up, including outreach to low-income neighborhoods and community partners, admissions, operations, and program management. He also served on the Diversity and Cultural Competency Committee and participated in other national initiatives.
Mr. Hooper recently served as the interim Executive Director for the Mural Music and Arts Project, an organization that inspires and empowers youth through graffiti and hip hop art education. In his role he focused on development, revenue generation, strategic partnerships, staff management, and board relations.
In his free time, he enjoys traveling and being outdoors, playing sports, and playing and listening to music. He also co-hosts a Podcast for Stanford Football called Stanford Huddlecast.
