Yvette Zepeda
Working as part of the Haas Center administrative and programming teams, Yvette coordinates both the Community Service Work-Study (CSWS) program and Haas student employees. In addition to managing all administrative aspects of the CSWS program, she advises students about their placements and acts as a liaison to the nonprofit and government agencies employing CSWS students. In this capacity, Yvette communicates and meets with local agencies on a regular basis to strengthen the center’s relationships. Together we work to develop a strategic plan for building sustainable partnerships for quality community placements. She also facilitates the center’s CSWS working group to review policies, procedures, and enhancements to the program.
For Haas student employees, Yvette provides information and guidelines to Haas staff for hiring student casual/temporary employees, and is responsible for all administrative aspects of the student employee hiring process, budgets and record-keeping, systems, and maintaining our working relationship with the payroll department.
Yvette's degree in human services, counseling emphasis, has provided the foundation for her service work at the Haas Center. She looks forward to another year of serving students, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies locally and nationally.
