Virginia Bock

Virginia joined the communications team in October 2013. As director of communications, she oversees strategic communications for the Haas Center and Cardinal Service including brand management, production of publications and materials, the Haas Center and Cardinal Service websites and social media platforms.

Prior to coming to the Haas Center, Virginia was the corporate communications manager for Addison Avenue, HP’s nationwide employee credit union. She has also worked in communications roles for HP headquarters in Palo Alto, an architecture firm in Los Altos, and a barrister and solicitor in New Zealand, and as a freelance writer and editor.

Virginia grew up in New Zealand where she originally trained to be a dancer and dance teacher, and she teaches occasionally at a nonprofit community dance studio in Palo Alto. She was also a dance reviewer for the Palo Alto Daily News and regardingarts.com.

Virginia holds bachelor’s degrees in English and education from Te Herenga Waka–Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand, and a master’s degree in English from Notre Dame de Namur University.
