Pronouns
she/her

Anjali Mishra is a recent graduate of sociology, political science, and ethnic studies from the University of Oregon. She attributes her academic interests to her extensive experience with community organization and public service. Her philosophy regarding public service revolves around equipping marginalized communities with the tools, resources, and support needed to flourish, with special focus dedicated to culturally competent and sustainable community service. She is particularly passionate about education policy and has participated in a number of efforts to minimize the school-to-prison pipeline and provide resources for at-risk youth. Her greatest contribution in this sphere is a 30-page career readiness workbook she wrote and designed for under-resourced youth.

Anjali has previously worked with Giffords, UNICEF USA, and a number of Oregon- and University of Oregon-based community service programs. She is excited to continue assisting non-profits with capacity-building at her VISTA site, Thrive Alliance.

In her free time, Anjali enjoys listening to a variety of music, spending time with her friends, learning about the ocean, and working out.
