Celebrating 40 Years of Impact

Since 1985, the Haas Center for Public Service has been Stanford's home for turning passion into action and service into meaningful change. Over the years, we've connected thousands of students, faculty, and community partners in work that addresses our communities’ most pressing challenges—from educational equity and environmental justice to global health and civic engagement. As we mark this milestone year, we've launched 40 for 40, a $40M fundraising effort to expand access to service opportunities, further embed public service learning into academics, deepen community partnerships, support student fellowships, and ensure that the next generation is prepared to build a more just and equitable world. We invite you to join us in honoring four decades of service by investing in the next chapter of this vital work. Together, we can amplify our impact and continue Stanford's tradition of developing engaged, ethical citizens committed to the public good.

Students work together to dig and plant a garden as part of their service project.

Ways to Give

Make a gift or pledge online

The fastest way to give to Stanford is to make a gift online.

Annual and reunion gifts provide an opportunity for alumni and friends to have a powerful and direct impact on the development of public service leaders. Five-year reunion pledges help ensure a stable flow of unrestricted funding.

You can contact the Office of Development by email or by calling (650) 725-4360.

Planned Giving

When you make a planned gift such as a bequest, trust, or life income gift to the Haas Center, you not only create a legacy for public service at Stanford, you also contribute to the greater good by investing in the next generation of public service leaders. If you notify the University of your bequest to the Haas Center, you are included as a member of the Founding Grant Society, which the University established to honor alumni, parents, and friends who have included Stanford in their estate plans. Members are invited to participate in a number of special events each year.
